I'm an American in Beijing... with all the complications and joys that status brings. I'm a breastfeeding mom in training to be a La Leche League leader. I've got a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and loads of other courses under my belt including lots of Asian studies, writing and language stuff. (I spent 10 years in college because I kept taking all the cool-sounding courses and then continued taking them after graduating.) I've traveled all around Asia and a few other places, too. I write for a living- mostly nonfiction health, parenting and travel articles with some random sci-fi and fantasy stories thrown in.
