I love being a mentor and part of a team. When responsibility in shared, the stakeholders have more of a vested interested in the outcomes. I love technology and the HUGE continuum of learners that exist. I am very good at making both students and staff feel comfortable and capable with whatever skillset he or she may bring to the table. Even at Renaissance, one of the top 5% schools in Michigan, it never ceases to amaze me how much we assume the youth of today know about technology. I have been teaching out of a computer lab for nearly 10 years and can attest that it is a false assumption that often brings shame to less tech-quick kids. I have had an amazing teaching career and believe Renaissance High School is some of the most fulfilling work I have ever done.
