My name is John Lockwood, and I am a self-taught programmer who has been a professional programmer for many years. I've never gotten certified, but this year I'm going to take Oracle's Java Certification Exam, Level I. Since I'm also helping my wife to learn this material, I thought it would be even more fun to put it together as an online course.
The link on this page is Oracle's tutorial outline of what we need to learn. There are also many great resources we can use. I'll be posting code and videos from time to time and may set aside some time every other Saturday or so to get together with students and try to help answer questions.
