I am a special research librarian, working at the School for Advanced Research. We are not a school in the traditional sense (that part of our name has a history over 100 years old) but support the work of our resident scholars who come for nine months to write up their research. As a solo librarian I am responsible for all aspects of library operation from keeping paper in the copier to research assistance.
