I am thoroughly enjoying the Webmaking 101 course and am excited about using my new blog to chart my progress and engage with other learners. So far I have learnt:

• How to set up a WordPress blog
• How to hand-code a simple HTML page
• How to choose an appropriate text editor
• The meaning of some commonly-used HTML tags

My aim is always to write clearly, with the general reader in mind, and to do my best to explain tricky concepts in simple language, giving examples where possible.

I have received some encouraging comments from my peers and I have also enjoyed reading and commenting on their blogs. I hope that my blog will inspire others to get involved and will help people to get to grips with HTML and CSS as I become more proficient.
