posted message: PLEASE NOTE: Your project for this course can be as big or small as you like. It doesn't have to be a whole course or webinar. It can be something as small as an assessment activity or a set of rubrics. Do whatever works for you, and choose something manageable given the timeframe and your other commitments. :)
posted message: First webinar today at 5pm EDT (2pm PDT).
Participants and followers welcome! Come see how the open source BigBlueButton webinar tool works.

posted message: Hello- sorry, but I am not sure what we are supposed to be doing. I am not sure where anything is or what I am to share. Seems like lots of projects all over but where do I find them? I see them on the google doc but where on this site? Sorry- I am VERY experienced at online teaching and learning but find myself spending all my time looking where I am to be and not completing anything. Directions please!
posted message: If you are using Internet Explorer and having trouble with the P2PU interface or posting, try Firefox or another browser.
posted message: I am about to start on a project with "CMC" (http://www.cmc-china.org/) which has a number of schools and centers around the country. Pg 21 on this doc could also be helpful (http://matthewramcharan.posterous.com/pages/projects).
Based on the conditions of a CMC student with poor English skills I need to build an education plan to improve students English and then get them at least through core high school subjects using only online tools. Every student has a computer and an internet connection available with an unlimited time to learn. Constraints are 1) needs to be low cost 2) have a teaching facilitator but all learning should be online.
Question: If personal teacher interaction is over Skype is that considered blended learning?
posted message: Our online webinars will be on Tuesdays at 5pm EDT (2pm PDT) starting next Tues., Oct. 4.
Put this on your calendars, on Tues., Oct. 11 at 5pm EDT (2pm PDT), we'll have three online learning experts on to answer your questions about what works and what doesn't in online learning.
Participants, followers, and anyone else is welcome! Stay tuned for more info.
posted message: A note about getting around this course...if you haven't figured it out, the main pages of each P2PU course are the "Tasks," which are listed above as well as down the left side of the page. You can comment on each of these, as well as being able to edit most of them to add more information. This should all be explained in "Wk 1-Getting started," but let me know if you have questions.
We officially start Monday!
