I'm an Interactive Art Director working in New York and San Francisco.
While the main body of my work is concentrated on Visual and Interaction design, I also have expertise in Iconography and UI design, as well as a solid foundation of experience designing for emerging technologies, including mobility, rich media and the social space (Facebook, Twitter).
I have co-led both the strategy, design and cost per action/cost per impression metrics analysis for e-mail marketing campaigns, banner campaigns and other Internet-based advertising and marketing initiatives. I've partnered with Eyeblaster and PointRoll to design and serve complex rich media streams as polite loads (particularly from within the Flash environment). I have extracted, interpreted, tracked and reported on pay per click and cost per impression/action data. I've participated in media planning and buying as relates to the definition of cost per click/impression/action pricing models, and I've contributed to keyword strategizing for contextual advertising.
I am especially interested in the mobile space, broadband video design and delivery and other emerging technologies and design channels.
I've worked in traditional print (advertising, branding/identity and select catalogue) and have served as Art Director for photo shoots, including memorable sessions with Vera Wang, showcasing items from her Home collections.
I have significant experience partnering in requirements gathering and the subsequent translation of those findings into actionable IA which synthesizes business requirements and user experience advocacy with unfailing brand integration and a fierce visual aesthetic.
I'm also well-versed in SEO pre-launch Landing Pages and other SEO/SEM practices.
Finally, I thrive when immersed within the rapid pace and incubatory shifting sands of the start-up environment.
I've gotta get my HTML 5 and CSS 3 chops in order and don't even ask me about ActionScript 3. It's time to stop scrambling up the same slippery slope...
