I am not much of a computer engineering expert or anything like that, but I realized that computers are programmed to simply read numerical figures rather than words that us humans can easily remember. Web browsers rely on DNS servers to translate the easy-to-remember URLs in to IP addresses in order to reach the website's server and retrieve all the info that lies on that URL to the user's web browser.
