I focus on the future of learning, participatory design, the transformative power of games, and OER. I'm the Curator for NROC's Connected PD project, an experiment in "community-sourced" professional development. I'm also working on a tech-enabled collaborative learning project for NFTE.com, working with an inspiring group of teen entrepreneurs and their teacher/coaches. I'm a Senior Associate with the Natoma Group. I spent 2006-2010 at Linden Lab, deep in the Grand Canyon of Second Life, as Education Community Manager and later, Director of Education. I'm working on a mini-Hive in my local community to support self-directed and aspiring self-directed youth, starting with Documentary Makers for the Social Good.
