This evolutionary course attempts to explain the historical twists and turns of Free Culture, Free Software and Open Source

Free Software, Free Culture and Open Source have an unusual history. Without completely demonizing any of the three, This course looks at the many ways these movements have and haven't been, could and couldn't be compatible, how they've changed the world, and possible mistakes along the way.

The "evolutionary" aspect of the course is that I take what everyone says into serious consideration. I have been doing that for several years, and have tried to build an accurate concept of the relevant organizations and movements, both from within and from afar. I don't just want to help you understand them, I want your help understanding them too, if possible.

Thanks! Feel free to offer suggestions, corrections, or points you disagree with on the wall. Now that one or two people are interested, I'll have to step up the effort to write here.

Ideas on how it can be more collaborative (wikis, etc) are also welcome, though for now I'm using the features of P2PU that I'm familiar with (that set should of course expand with time.)
