Alida I have been using Evernote for tracking and clipping as well- I am just loving it!
I ran across badges because I'm interested in games and they are a pretty common tool to motivate all kinds of players. I look forward to learning more here.

I just wanted to check in. I know I have been absent from the boards. I have been working hard- going back to school and, more importantly, on developing more courses for our upcoming School of Open Badges (read more here). Keep up the great work!
Hi everyone! I just heard about badges this week and am very excited to learn more. I'm thinking they would be a great addition to a program that I teach in where students have to create e-portfolios. As an instructor, I could create badges for students to include in their portfolios.
I look forward to learning more about this new tool for verifying skills, knowledge etc.

Hi there!! I'm really interested in understanding OpenBadges and using them in our Local Learning Authority. I'm new to this method of learning, but really keen to see how it works and use some of the features with the young people I work with.
Hi, I was looking at OpenBadges last winter and it seemed "not there yet". Very excited to see so much progress. Excited to get my P2PU badge and tear it apart!
I have become acquainted with OPen Badges through Mozilla and completed one on just finding out what open badges are. I am interested in learning more about them as well as how to design them. I am an educator and want to enrich how I teach and learn. Thanks Leah!

I found myself falling down this rabbit hole as my son is active on diy.org. It is a great site that encourages kids learning though “Build, Make, Hack, Grow” projects. They earn badges for completing these project and have a way to display them and there badges in a kid safe way. Well this lead me to trying to more about the ideas behind the site... and a few site later here I am.

I am intrigued and wary. A university where I work as an Instructional Designer is exploring MOOC's (who isn't?). This led us to a conversation and possible visit with Mozilla, which led me to the topic of badges, and that led me here! I decided to do what I preach to my critical thinking students: Open your mind, explore a new topic, learn all about it from a variety of reliable sources, then form your own opinion. So here I am!
Yay! I finally have some time to get to this.
I am working on a badge project with several classmates this semester; my one classmate and I are hoping to develop some badges aimed (for the most part) and middle school aged kids. We will be working with a local middle school English teacher who has offered to collaborate with us and to let us work with her students to test out badges.

If anyone else is interested in developing badges, please get in touch! I would love to hear about your project or ideas, and could definitely use discussion and feedback on mine.

I have been working on badges for my Girl Scout adults and have over 100. I'm interested in bringing them into Open Badge, so this is really cool.
I've also been looking for a reason to start a class in P2PU, so "double goodness."

Hello everybody,
Please I found this mini course. Just completed my first task which was watching the introductory video clip. I guess it would be useful to briefly reflect on this. I liked the fact that I saw a real person and it felt as if this person was speaking to me directly. It felt personal which I think is something that we need to do more in online settings. The clip also made me think why I decided to take this course. I am an academic developer and am currently involved in the development of an open course with Cristina Costa. Together we would like to introduce open badges to this course but first I think it will be important to find out more about them, so that is why I am here.

Oh, so am I!! Badges seem like the perfect way for attendees to track their progress at a conference, don't they. One starting point you may wish to look into is setting up your site in Wordpress and using the new badge plugin to administer badges.
