Anyone can follow a guide on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

  • My uni doesn't teach php, mysql, or any kind of advanced web development. A course focused on the start to completion of a development project that shows how all of the parts work together will be very enlightening; especially one this complex.

  I love webdesign but I feel like pure HTML / CSS sites are no longer enough, I am interested in learning more about the programming behind the websites.

  For the past few months, I have been very determined to learn web app development, and I have had varying degrees of success. I believe that the biggest obstacle is figuring out how to apply the different facets together. Lots of guides will explain Ruby on Rails syntax or other small portions of development, but I have found few comprehensive guides (going from HTML all the way to complex PHP) that aren't in some ways dumbed down or give you really concrete examples.

  I have a few ideas for web applications that I am determined to create, and I am confident that the information from this class will help me. I know that all of them can be completed by one man, and I am realistic about my expectations. None of these will be the "Facebook killar", but they are fun little diversions that I would love to make while still in school and have free time to tinker.

  I am interested in helping with Peer 2 Peer University. I signed up a long time ago, admittedly forgot about the web site, but finding this class (via Reddit) has reinvigorated my interest in the site. In fact, I may even see about making a class after this one.
