Learn anything, with your peers.

At P2PU, people work together to learn a particular topic by completing tasks, assessing individual and group work, and providing constructive feedback.

This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.

posted message: Some ideas I have: -weekly online video check in/study pow wow on "Past, Present, Future" -----> We can research one aspect of web history that we really dig and share our finds with each other (maybe spend around 20 minutes on this part); -----> Study PHP/Ruby together by reading either the Introductory tutorial from http://us3.php.net/tu... and/or The Rails Tutorial online book at http://ruby.railstuto... (two hours or so; Either a half a chapter to a whole chapter for each session); -----> We will research and discuss our dream job - Ex: Our future freelance job, a company we'd love to found, a company we want to work for, etc. (the rest of the time left in the session, or as long as we want to take turns speaking).
posted message: Thanks for your interest in the Rails study group. The goal is to support anyone learning Rails using the Hartl tutorial which is available free and a widely used starting point for Rails. Each group "task" will focus on a chapter of the book so there will be 11 in all. Setting up a p2pU group is an experiment for me so open to any ideas on improving the group. Thanks!
