(you probably need a bit of basic understanding of programming before this, but it could be a nice follow up to the basics. TryRuby.org is a good basic intro, via Ruby - not Javascript, but knowing more than one langage is good, so… My 11 years old nephew have just gone through all the tryRuby.org tutorials today, it was a good experience.)
