Hi everyone, I am just about to start out on a 4 year PhD studentship at the Insititite of Educational Technology, Open University, Milton Keynes, where this course is based :-). I have spent the last 23 years living a portfolio life as an independent consultant both in the UK and South Africa, and now going into full time research activity. A PhD has been my goal for many years so I’m thrilled to have finally arrived here. I'm researching how technology-enabled learning networks can be used to achieve practical organisational improvement outcomes in the not-for-profit sector, and am very interested in using action research and open research techniques.
