I am relatively new to classroom teaching but have been involved in education at non-profits and museums for several years as a program manager, educator and curriculum developer. I have taught subjects including English, History, Social Sciences, Geography, Religion, Art, Outdoor Ed, ESL, and Civics at the secondary school level. My MA in Curriculum, Teaching & Learning focussed on the teaching of controversial issues, global citizenship and diaspora education. When I'm not buried under a pile of marking, I bellydance, create and consume art, whack tennis balls and work in my vegetable garden.
