I also teach Computer Technology courses as an adjunct having been a software engineer and manager in my earlier career. I hang out in Silicon Valley where I get exposed to lots of the latest high tech chatter but I am trying to stay focused on the longer lasting values in life such as fellowship and community. Some days I am better at it than others :-)! My interests include traveling to other countries and observing their cultures -- I hope to do more of that as time allows ...

I worked at Apple for 10 years as a software engineer and manager learning the importance of user experience and human computer interaction in product development. I'm now interested in studying more of the theory after being involved in the application of human computer interaction processes for many years as a sofware developer. I look forward to working with the study group to analyze and synthesize our learning and would also be interested in helping with the group organization.
