Detox - Dream

Point to what's important and ask questions about what's next.

Make a video-, audio-, or written jounral entry in the detox section of your profile page on Youth Voices, beginning with your answer to the question:

What dreams are you working to turn into reality

There are no rules. All we ask for is a well-intentioned effort and for this to become something you do on a regular, perhaps daily basis. After you finish your detox, you might be interested in the examples here from Monika Hardy's Innovation Lab in Loveland, Colorado and here on Youth Voices.

Once you have posted a Detox Discussion on Youth Voices, come back to this Task and Post a Comment.  In the comment box, create a link back to that Discussion post on Youth Voices.

Finally, click   Yes, I'm done   for this Task.

Art is your being. It’s not a drawing or creation or anything that you do. It’s something you can’t not do. Well not if you’re seeking soul peace anyway. Perhaps that’s why so many people are unsettled, take meds, do bad things.. they haven’t found their art.

An artist uses bravery, insight, creativity and boldness to challenge the status quo, takes work personally, doesn’t care if someone disagrees, embraces the mystery of their genius. An artist is someone who changes everything, someone who makes dreams come true. An artist trains people to live without a map.

As of now, a dream i'm working on making come true is graduating high school. I never applied myself 100% to my school work since i was young so after a while it developed into bad working habits. I didn't graduate with the class i was supposed to in 2011 because i didn't apply myself. I could've been done in january of 2013 but now its june 24th and i'm in school for the last day completing the last bit of work i have for my english credit. I came into Bronx academy needing 5 credits English, U.s history, Economics, Algebra 4, and Physical education. I've submitted every credit except the english that i'm currently working on, after im done and submit my work i will be able to graduate. i'm proud of myself even though i should've been graduated. Just that fact that i can prove that i was capable of doing the work and that I’m graduating makes me proud. Today is monday and graduation is wednesday. Even though i didn't plan on walking at graduation i figured i should because i want my mother to see me graduate. I originally did it for her, but shes has her high school diploma, she never NEEDED me to do it, she wanted me to do it for myself. Even though i waited to the last minute i'm just happy i did it.

    My Dreams

Me like anyone else ,  i have many dreams i life.  One of my biggest dream is to finish school and be rich so i won't have to struggle as hard in life , now we all know it will never happen out of thin air but it is my dream . Havin dreams is easy because you can always have new ones , the problem is making your dreams into reality. My dreams always change because i’m a teen so i have many new likes day after day. Dreams are consider because is something you want and fantasize about but still have to struggle to make it reality . I always dream because is good to be ambitious in life because is never good to settle for less. After i’m done with school my dream would be to to have a job i would enjoy going to with a good pay so i could have anything i need in life , but since its my dream i would just say be rich with no job …..lol.
