This is an introduction to contributing to the open source platform that P2PU runs on: Lernanta. Lernanta is based on (also referred to as a fork of) Mozilla's Batucada project and is a Python/Django web application whose code is on GitHub.

We'll walk through the whole process together from getting the code, running it locally, finding a bug to fix, fixing the bug, and contributing the fix to the Lernanta project. Please see full description for more information.

Creating A Windows 7 Installation Guide For Lernanta

Currently I am attempting to run Lernanta from Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. No luck though since the wiki page on it is written for Linux OS and none of the downloads necessary are easily findable for their Windows counterpart. Anybody have any ideas on how this might be more effectively done?

Personally, getting Lernanta up and going on my windows 7 64bit required the installation of Oracle VirtualBox and a clean install of Ubuntu.

i would start there and then run through as far as you can with the Wiki Instalation instructions. Doing the Virtual Machine route will at least get you to the point where the problems you run into will be the same as everyone else. As a windows developer support from #p2pu-dev in irc.freenode.net was invaluble.
