Ever wanted to learn Japanese but those courses seem just too slow and expensive? Study with me and pick up some of the "real world" Japanese!

I made this group as a place for people of all levels of Japanese to practice and share their experiences, and to teach those who are just starting. Being a learner of Japanese for three years, I know how hard it can be to study all by yourself with noone to tell you what to look for or where.

I would like to invite people who are just starting to learn to join us because there are some very valuable things you can hear from the people who already did the baby steps, both about Japanese and learning in general.

posted message: To start this group off, I'd like to say my thanks to all of you who joined, and I hope you're ready to start off on a more serious note. Before we can actually study, we obviously have to decide when and where. Therefore, I'd like everyone to write their preferred communication channels, study times in GMT format(for obvious reasons) and stuff you'd like to do on our first 'class' as follows(mine): Communication: group IRC chat, Skype, MSN Study time: Varies greatly due to uni classes; either 10:00 to 12:00PM GMT or anytime during the weekend. Stuff I'd like to do: Practice basic pronounciation, talk about the differences between Japanese and our native languages.

Atm, pretty much any time is ok with me. Skype would probably be the best form of communication for me I guess.
