HTML Hunting in the World Around You
Go out and take photographs of stuff that has the same structure as the tags you've researched
This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.
Hey Usama - I like your example. Not only showed it good use of HTML annotation, but I also learned something about ancient architecture.
This was interesting...sorry about the image quality. http://katscapes.com/post/30087098813/p2pu-html-in-real-life
wow this was exciting and I learned that html tag structures and can be found almost everywhere! Its limitless!
I picked stuff around my house. Here's my work:

Wow! Love it! Especially the Pink Floyd. :)
Hi Steve Factor,
Good idea with Starbucks my coding friend.
However, I think we are meant to have notes to go with the images to prove one understands the concept. I think the idea is great but I couldn't find the notes to with it?
I may be looking at the wrong link but if you send me it, or one with the notes, I will gladly mark it.
Thanks

I did it! That was actually pretty fun. I'm looking forward to creating an activity like this for my students.
Thanks Philipp,

Perhaps I did not complete it right but what I have written was my understanding of using HTML markup in different images / scenarios etc.
Maybe I have written it wrong but I assumed it was right?
Thanks
As crappy as mine looks, i incorporated alot more tags then it seems. Look carefuly at the collage to get it.

My first impression: in short - this is stupid
long form -
http://codesum.blogspot.com/2012/05/p2pu-challenge-html-4-html-tags.html
But after I have seen what people did and how creative they are. I want to take a stab at this challenge too!
Be back with details :-) Excited.
i had more troubles with this assignment than learning a whole week of HTML I am super impressed with what people came up with and realized that through this assignment I am also more consciously aware of HTML and have a stronger inner connection. Lolol wtf... but yeah seemingly "stupid" but awesome assignment
Well said dilys! I totally agree!
At first, I thought, "Really?!" But like you said, when you actively seek the photographs relevant for each tag, I too found it gave me a greater understanding of the tags involved.
A great lesson this.
Thanks,
G Powell
I found only seven html elements. Hope that will be enough. Here are my pictures.
To be honest, i cheated on this one, i marked it as completed
when i actually haven't done anything. I do not have access to a camera anymore and i wasn't sure if pulling images from the Internet was a good idea. I'll put up the images as soon as i manage to get a camera. Catch you in the next task.
This is my blog
added part 1 of my photo challenge here, will add part 2 when i've got time.

Okay, it's not at all impressive or complete but here it is.
OK at last got #4 done - may not be completed yet but still I think I'm there..
Here's the link - hope you like it:
Great pics, but look at how other people who have gotten good reviews (click here and go to previously awarded) incorporated tags into their pics. After you include the tags in the photos, send me a message and I will be glad to offer a peer review for your HTML badge.
I shall have to pospone this section for the time being. My camera equipment have bee ursurped by my son and he's elesewhere for the next few months.
To be continued...
Here are my pics and check out my submission for the basic html badge, thanks
nice post.. good way to explain tags with images.
Fun assignment finding ways to encapsulate your world with HTML elements. Enjoy my work!
