A reading group for anyone interested in child development and parenting

What can scientific literature tell us about how children develop and learn about the world? We'll read and discuss research on a range of topics.

If you're interested in helping develop this course, please let me know. I'd like to keep it accessible to parents with small children, so the intention is to keep the workload manageable.

posted message: Anyone interested in doing an online meetup to discuss some of the topics in the course content? There was a java applet that allowed voice conferencing + a chatroom. I forget the name, but we used it in the "teaching babies math" class and it worked well.

I'd be up for an online meeting - that'd be great.

Was that Big Blue Button you used? I think they used that on some other courses.

The #p2pu-dev guys pointed me to: http://bbb.p2pu.org/

Edit: tried it and it looks great. I guess all we need to do is find a good time for all of us.
