I want to collaboratively create a new way of understanding knowledge-in-performance in digital spaces. I'm interested in network analysis, computational theories, paradigm-changing ideas, dynamic representations, complexity - and other ways of thinking about this issue.
I also want to let people know about www.simschool.org - a serious game for strengthening teaching knowledge and skills.
Location: Stowe, VT
Standard Set Answer:
I have been interested in perfomance-enhancing technologies since the age of about 14 when I wished for a device that would turn my keyboard improvizations into music notation - a feat that is very easy today, but was very hard in 1964.
I want to network with and learn from others, make new friends and save the world.
I'll participate as best as I can and can play a role in shaping dialog, sharing resources, and joining in discussions.

Standard Set Answer:
What made you interested in this topic?
Education is in transition as we move from simply an information age to a connected and collaborative age in which digital citizenship should be guided and practiced. This would be one way for me to begin the participation and learn from others more experienced. It will help start the new school year off for many of us.
What do you hope to achieve by participating?
I'd like to be part of the solution -- of how we transform education as technology transforms us and our work as educators. I think each person has something to add to the puzzle, so the different pieces fit together into a bright future.
Are you interested in helping with the study group organization?
I'm sure I could help in some way. I do have school obligations in August, but what is needed?

Education is the job of making connections. An educator needs to show students how it is done. An educator does not stand on the sidelines, but marches ahead in the ever advancing exploration of...everything.

I am interested in the topic of "connected learning" for both teachers and learners, and I am already involved in various connected learning and social-media-rich educational efforts. I am hoping to stay abreast of the energy and ideas of the participants and also possibly identify people and activities that might want to enage with other work in this area. I am happy to help with organization but am unlikely to be able to take a lead role.
