The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants.   While I've been a linux tinkerer for five or six years, I have now reached the point where I want to learn how to do things ther right way rather than just how to get them done.

  I am here to learn linux. I think it has great potential in overtaking Microsoft's monopology. Besides, why do we even need to pay for a license to use a computer? Simply, if we can just add alternatives to Windows and Mac OS then we are on our way. I have a general plan on how to do this since my education is in business and economics BUT I know my coding limitations. The linux community has always been based on coders but I just hope that you guys/girls welcome me in. 

  Currently I am very busy teaching myself coding and web design for the next few weeks. However, I will be happy to help as long as its around this crazy schedule of mine..

  I was born poor and never hankered after riches, but wanted a system where education and doors of knowledge remain open to all, particularly the under priviledged. Besides Swami Vivekanda, Richard Stallman and his activism influenced me a lot. However, need of earning my bread kept me busy. Now, I shall be free from my job soon and wish to devote my whole time and energy for the goals and ideals I cherished. But I have to equip myself before Ican come to much use. Hence I am here.
