posted message: I choose gedit because it is simple and also highlights. Other programs have other features, which one you choose depends on personal preference. Bluefish is pretty cool too.

posted message: It would be interesting to see a discussion regarding the best free/open source options vs. paid. I had to stick to free products for the Macs. Also, I've seen IDE attached to some of these products. Does that suggest more advanced developer tools are included?
