Belinda,
I totally understand... Thanks for the nice work ;O)
Anton
This course will become read-only in the near future. Tell us at community.p2pu.org if that is a problem.
This is a place to make plans to connect outside of P2PU, online through Google Hangouts, or through in-person regional events.
Here are some ideas for getting together:
Planning an event? Looking for a sister team? Want to connect with other teams in your area? Post your ideas here.
Belinda,
I totally understand... Thanks for the nice work ;O)

Hi everyone,
Reading the last blog, I'd like to add some thoughts. Our team made an app (Swap it) that actually works with a real database, so it's possible that many others did the same. If mentors only look at screen shots, I'm affraid they won't get all the work the girls did.
Thank you,
Anton
Lycee, I get the concern and I'm trying really hard to view the code and actually load the app. This is the first year that judging is working like this and there's obviously some kinks to work out.
I have a running list of recommendations for next year already that I'll share with Tahani, Annalise, etc. :-)
For those of you mentors that are judging, are you having trouble with AppInventor? I'm having server errors each time I try to upload the team's zip file. :( I want to make sure I'm judging them fairly and it's hard to judge the app demo part when I can't try out the app...
We are trying to join the hangout. The odds are against us as this computer is about to die. We will fight to the end:) but it looks dubious...
Hi Mentors!
I am a technovation challenge mentor in NYC and I wanted to share this event I'm organizing since it's particularly relevant to women in tech.
Thoughtworks, the software company I work for, is hosting a documentary screening, charity auction and social mixer to celebrate International Womens Day this Friday 8th March from 6pm - 10:30pm in NYC. The documentary we'll show is "Makers: Women Who Make America" . Food & drinks are provided.
This is a free public event so please share it with anyone you think might be interested. We're particularly encouraging men to attend too!
More information and event registration is here: http://thoughtworks-iwd2013.eventbrite.com

NYTechWomen is having its first birthday party at Knewton and you're invited! Although this is not a Technovation-specific event, some of our current and previous mentors in NYC will be attending. This will be a fun networking event with other tech women. I will be attending.
Donations go toward food and drink, but Jenn is also giving me a promotional code (50% off) for Technovation mentors. Email me if you would lke the code (angelica at iridescentlearning dot org).
