Want to write a novel…in the month of November? Let’s do it!

This is where the rubber hits the road. The actual month of writing your novel. (Doesn’t that sound impressive?) There won’t be many tasks for this group, except of course, writing a novel. That seems like enough.

Make sure to check out the Oct. NaNo prep group as well.

posted message: Hey all! Alison/P2PU staffer here! NaNoWriMo is now in full swing. I'd love to feature some of the ideas behind your novels on the P2PU blog. Any takers?

Cool! I'd love to do do a little post on our blog featuring a few participants and link to your stories.

I'd love it if you sent me a picture of yourself (-->alison@p2pu.org) and answers to these three questions:

    1. What inspired you to join NaNoWriMo on P2PU?
    2. What were the biggest obstacles you faced when trying to write a novel in one month?
    3. Have you acquired any wisdom about wirint or learned something new about yourself during this experience?

I'm not exactly sure what you need, but here' the entire concept of my novel.

Title: Lucifer's Gauntlet(but if my novel continues to get crazier, it will be called "Everything, but Vampires and Werewolves.)

    Link(Yes, I posted it online): http://grabthegauntlet.posterous.com

    Concept:

         I. Initial: What if angels and demons were like Power Rangers and Lucifer had the most powerful "morpher" of them all. A man stole Lucifer's "morpher" and everyone in heaven and hell wants it. He's a very screwed man.

II. Now: Same as above only there are Zombides, zombies that still have one emotion left and the memories associated with it. Lucifer is now a trinity, because 3 on 1 is so unfair. A computer virus inside flashdrive like devices are inserted into people turning them into Zombides. Thanks to a loophole in heaven, Lucifer(okay there are three of them) gave plotted to use the Zombides to invade heaven. God's brother Fate is a big potato couch who sent aliens from the future to stop the Zombides. Also, the aliens have the ability to materialize souls, so there are dinosaurs, samurais and amazons. The finale will involve the protagonists beating Lucifer with magnets.

Yes, it still ties in together and it still makes sense.

Take note of what was supposed to be a semi-serious adventure became an extremely fun and nonsensical light-hearted crossover.

Inspiration: Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Green Lantern. 90% of the inspiration came from Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. If you watch enough of them, you will see that it's basically not imaginative at all.

I also found myself putting a few programming jokes(aka just semi-references) like "The ruby one became an axe"(Get it? Pickaxe! See, just semi-references)

Also, the first actual idea is what if emotions could be downloaded from the internet, but when I considered what would happen after they died, the focus became the initial concept above.

"what if emotions could be downloaded from the internet"

Have you ever read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philipp K Dick? Although he wrote this before the internet became ubiquitous I believe in his setting emotions could be downloaded over the phone.

Nope, I haven't read it. I never even read his works, but I did watch the Adjustment Bureau and Blade Runner, which I believe were film adaptations of his works.

Same here. Just say what you need in 50000 words or less:)

Yes!  Let me know what you need!
