Anyone can follow a guide on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

  What made you interested in this topic?

  I'm interested in all areas of the web, but specifically social network sites as when I was young I spent a lot of time designing sites to be "better than myspace" etc. The newly added scrolling header to facebook, featured heavily in my designs, as well as the old style chat bar.

  What do you hope to achieve by participating?

  I'd like to become more competent with php and databases.

  Are you interested in helping with the guide organization?

    • Looks like a great way to help people with basic skills, like myself, to understand more complex website development. Also the demand for creating small personalized community group websites has increased drasticly over the past years.

  Web/Database developer and writer, looking to get back into the industry after a 4 year break in which I earned a B.A. in English.

  Facebook is a very large app with a really great interface and a lot of user security/permissions config. I'd like to see how to structure an app. like this from the database, to interface components.

  I am a 31 year Englishman living in France.  I have background in photography and design and wish to learn more about web development.  I've got a solid understanding of HTML/CSS and can get by in JS and php.

   I have been developing an interest in web design and developement over the past couple of years and would like to continue my career in that direction.
