Recently started a small Tech Consulting company. It was originally intended as a way to support our other businesses (we have 6 Nightclubs/Bars so far) but it has since grown to include clients across the Southeast US. We mainly deal with hospitality Point of Sale systems, interactive nighctlub lighting, and Pro-Audio installations. Web Design, on the other hand, is something I really enjoy but never had any formal training in since college. This community seemed like the perfect place to start my journey.

Standard Set Answer:
I became interested in this topic during my teens when I bought my first computer. I come from a long line of engineers (industrial, electrical, software) and decided pretty early on to do anything it took to carve out a living for myself doing the things I enjoy, and forego the 9-5 grind. This is just one more step in that direction.
My expectations of what to get out of this experience are pretty open ended to be honest. I don't really know enough about the community here, or the process by which things are done to make too many assumptions about what I am looking to get out of it yet. I would love to be able to learn a little about the process of creating a succesful and appealing website (or sites) for our establishments, but if that doesn't happen and I I just meet some interesting people then, well.................life is all about experiences, right?
