Anyone can follow a course on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

  I am a self taught graphic designer who is always looking to expand my skill set.

  I graduated cum laude in 2002 from Florida International University with a B.B.A. in Marketing and in International Business. I have worked extensively in the sales and marketing fields for over 10 years and started my own marketing/graphic design company over 4 years ago - beyond now marketing.

  I am an instructional designer with previous web development experience, but I need to shake off the cobwebs and get back into development.

  • What made you interested in this topic? As we move away from Flash development HTML5 is only going to be more important. I have been using rapid development tools but would like to move back to coding for development.

  • What do you hope to achieve by participating? I have some web development experience but it is somewhat outdated. I want to start fresh with HTML5 and make sure I have a strong understanding of the basic concepts before moving on to more advanced topics. 
  • Are you interested in helping with the study group organization? Unfortunately, no, I already have a more than full-time schedule! I may, however, assist in other courses where I have more expertise.

  I have been interested in, and playing with html and css for years.  As I am currently unemployed, I am able to put more time into it.

  I want to start back at the beginning, and work my way through html, css, .js and eventually php.

  As I am not really sure what I am getting myself into, I don't want to commit to too much.  If you check out Daniweb, you will see that I am not afraid to speak up when I am able to help someone.

  I am interested in the topics of HTML5 and P2PU, and wanted to get to know both by participating in this course. I have spent a lot of time with and on the web, creating my first pages many years ago, but have not followed the changes as well as I could have, nor did I cover the basics entirely—mostly learning as I pulled things together.

   

  I hope to better understand the structure of HTML5, and to be able to use the things covered here to better my onilne presence.

   

  I am interested in helping, but do not think I have time at the moment, unfortunately.

  I'm very interested in this topic because I build a lot of web based pages for my company intranet... unfortunately right now I'm relying heavily on wysiwyg editors that don't give me much freedom. I'd love to be able to develop a bit more on my own, but my HTML is about 8 years old and I need a refresher with the newest versions.

  I'm interested in helping with the group organization, though I don't if I have the time to commit to it (just had my first baby!). I'd love to learn about what is involved.

  I'm working my tail off trying to start a couple of small businesses and be self employed. I've had it with working for other people and I think it's time to be my own boss.

  Forever and a day ago I actually took some college courses for web design. Since then I've had to choose another career path for economical reasons. I've always been partial to the creativity of digital design and the technical of coding and would like to get a good grasp on the new changes.

  I became interested in HTML 5 because I can no longer stand working with Flash. I hope to achieve a basic understanding so that I can continue my progression of the skillset. I will help any way that I can, but I do have very limited free time at the moment.
