I have done a few university courses on HTML, XHTML; XML and CSS. But I think I need to brush up, and this seems like the perfect way.
I want to learn more about the capabilities of HTML5 as opposed to HTML4. (Especially considering mobile web and so on.)
I will certainly do what I can to help. But I'm not exactly short of stuff to do, so…

I go to Umass Boston for Finance right now but I used to go to Pharmacy school and hated it. I like too many academic subject areas to cover here but I am specialized in currency trading (Trader's hEdge blog) and am so full of good ideas I practically vomit them.

I want to learn web 2.0 programming really bad. I don't believe in the old model of lectures and tests. Sorry, I learn by doing. I have to. It's my only viable option.
HTML5 piques my curiousity. I learned html back when I was a kid in the 90s but I figure if I'm going to jump into programming, Java and HTML5 are the best places to start...so here I am!!
The dynamic interactions available with HTML5 spark some serious interest. What !? You can take control of client side graphics processing with WEBGL and make games within the URL box for HTML5?! I was sold.
By participating, I hope to learn enough HTML5 so that I may make my own really well designed website from scratch.
