The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants.   HTML, CSS, and Javascript is heavily used in my line of work, however, I am not able to use HTML5, but am quite proficient in HTML and CSS.

  My job demands knowledge in several areas of web design. Javascript and jQuery make up a large part of my job. The other half of the job is spent on the interaction design process. 

  I'm interested in this topic because I've been markingup websites for a few years and haven't jumped into learning HTML5.  I'd like to learn as much as possible. I'm not sure what the study group organization is, but I'd like to learn more.

  I am an aspiring web designer without many resources at my disposal but with a love for learning. I'm the guy that knows the stuff that everyone else always just wonders about. Not very good at talking about myself other than that, so feel free to ask questions.

  Standard Set Answer:

  1- HTML5 is the up and coming web language for all web pages. It seems to have even defeated flash for the web. If I wish to keep up with the latest information then I need to learn this to be a competent web designer. I am also interested in this course because while in school we were all told that html 5 was a long way off from being used in a real world environment. Even though it may not be a web standard yet, (haven't kept track) it is quickly gaining ground that everyone said it would never have. So the time to learn is now.

  2- I hope to learn all of the ins and outs of HTML5 in order to take my abilities to the next level.

  3- That would entirely depend on whether or not I am knowledgeable enough to actually aid in any way. If I am, then I would be most happy to.

  I've been working in computers for over fifteen years, but I never learned to code. For the last few years I've been wanting to learn to code.  I am hoping that studying HTML5 here will give me a good introduction to coding and that I may later broaden my coding skills with PHP / JavaScript and other languages. Should my skills develop adequately, I would be happy to with the study group later on.
