Everyone from Google to Microsoft is looking for a way to a way to make computers more communative with humans. After a successful demonstration of IBM's computer named Watson beating out two of Jeopardy's most successful competitors much attention has been given to NLP. This course discusses the challenges and successes in NLP.
A common way of processing NLP is parts of speech, however there are a gerund is using a verb in its –ing form as a noun such as living. There are open and closed parts of speech. The open parts can be nouns or verbs or we can't tell because they shift functions.
