I am looking at all things Maker as part of my Master of Arts in Education Degree. I hope to meet cool people and exchange cool ideas. I would be interested in some type of organizational activities to find collaborators for a specific project related to this interest, namely a virtual, replicable and scalable makerspace that includes the arts.
Public Set Answer:
We make performances, productions and the related props, sets, lighting, costume and sound designs. I am interested in how to virtualize this making process, its realtionship to creativity and informal STEM education.

I've been iterested in cooking for a while, and I want to go to culinary school when I graduate high school. The whole maker group in general sounds very interesting, and I like the idea of youth creating things that are useful to both themselves and others.
Through participation, I hope to learn tips and ideas on how to do the thigs I'm interested in and to collaborate with others that have the same interests as I do.
I don't know much about the maker group organization, so I would like to learn more before I make a decision.
Public Set Answer:
I am very interested in the food portion of this maker group, but digital storytelling also looks like it would be interesting.
I think an arts section would be nice, with visual arts and music and the like.

I create in 2004 PING :
Ping as an association providing resources and as a hotbed of innovative projects, PiNG advises, accompanies and supports initiatives that enable people to identify, experiment and evaluate the social and cultural practices of multimedia. The associative project comes in four types of skills – Support, Training, Creation, Territories and Networks. Through its activities, PiNG enhances the cultural dimension of digital practices, seeing them as tools to access culture and knowledge, tools to express oneself and create, tools of mutualisation and cooperation.
- PiNG supports the cultural, sociocultural, artistic, educational structures and the public bodies that wish to set up a multimedia project and/or integrate digital tools to their activity.
- PiNG develops a professional training program directed to any person wishing to gain or to broaden their skills on multimedia tools.Within these trainings, PiNG claims that the use of free software is imperative for the democratization of digital practices and for the durability of actions.
- PiNG develops spaces of experimentation, pedagogy and mediation using the digital creation.
- From a local scale to a European one, PiNG livens up the territories using digital technologies and networks, in order to simplify the projects, implement efficient practices of mutualisation and solidarity and to favor the crossings actors/places/public and create open partnerships.

And just, i organized some of the first meeting/bootcamp in France :http://www.pingbase.net/wordpressfr/creation-numerique/regards-des-participants-autour-du-bootcamp-make-ta-machine

I'm used to develop some european project as Labtolab for 2 years :http://www.labtolab.org/~labtolab/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
