A background course on open source music production, licensing, and distribution.

This course is for burgeoning musicians who would like to use free tools to create, license, and distribute their music using open tools.  This course is also for musicians who may have recorded and released music in the past, but would like to do it more openly now. Participants will learn about all main stages in the process of recording and releasing digital music.

Participants will be given a set of information-seeking challenges to clarify topics that are potentially confusing, and empower them to release music openly.

Participants are doing this because sharing is better than keeping everything for yourself.
