Additional background reading: NROC staff have produced three reports examining different elements of developmental English: the curriculum, existing resources, and the  research-base for effective practice. These reports can serve as additional background for people to familiarize themselves with current trends in developmental English. Treat these documents as starting points for discussion, not the final word.
