Anyone can follow a study group on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

  Q: What made you interested in this topic?
  A: I have some experience with Matlab and this topic is an opportunity to learn a free, interpreted environement focused on scientific applications.

  Q: What do you hope to achieve by participating?
  A: I would like to rewrite some of my Matlab codes in Python language and distribute the free executables

  Did some basic programming in python, want to learn it for real. Basically I only want to open source free software where possible so get rid of Matlab and SPSS.. replace with python and R.
