Thank you so much for your participation in this study group. It was pleasure to learn with and from you all. Feel free to send us any reflections about future study groups as we'd love to hear your thoughts -- we will keep this forum open a little longer for that purpose and then will archive it for continued access too.

I regret to inform you, I am going to not be participating anymore with the group! My wife and I just had our 3rd child and I am working on other projects right now and I need to empty my plate. Unfortunately, this is the group I can't dedicate my full attention to. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

Bud Hunt's Common Core site/ seems in the digital age "commenting" amounts to "participating" liked the exchange between teachers.
A screen cast from fourth graders in California that made their work public -- a critcal issue
A New York Times article about marginalia with loads of useful stuff as well as a definition for "annotation" that made me curious about a new word: "curation."
I wrote a much more stylish piece about this but it wouldn't post because I went over 750 words!!!! (those exclamations count as words!!!!!!!) I don't need this tension at 5am.

I know we are talking about the connectivity of social networks as a digital writing space. This kind of app platform is helpful (as is RSS) for connecting into the thinking and sharing of friends. A disclaimer: the only curating I do with http://paper.li/dogtrax/nwp is that I tell it which folks to follow. The app does the rest. I also use Ad Blocker so I don't see any ads.
