posted message: 1.The main goal for users of a learning how to use a computer community site would be To feel comfortable and not intimidated To think that they will succeed 2.The brand goals should include Logo Name Slogan that they remember and are attracted to 3.The business goals of this community site are to have enough members that ad revenue will cover at least cover hosting expenses. This is where I am at now. I read and went to all the sites to see what the discussion was, thanks for all of that. I will go back and go over it again for more insight, I wanted to post what I am thinking, which will evolve, thanks.

    Great start!

The user goals could be verbs or adjectives that will help design accordingly. For example, user goals for Jet Blue would be to :

    - Find cheap tickets fast

    - Book quickly

    - Browse destinations

    The Brand Goals would be:

    - Friendly interface / friendly customer service

    - A young and hype feel

    - Modern and affordable way to fly

    The Business goals would be:

    - Increase sales

    - Get people to sign up to send offers

    - Have people to fly internally rather than taking the train

The goals are set so that they can help you focus your design decisions and allow for the features to leverage with actual business goals. The brand goals are there to make sure your brand is well defined and that is consistent, and translates trhoughout the site even in the way you communicate error messages to your end user.

-Find instructions for installing and using software like AV

-Learn how to use social media like Facebook

    Brand Goals

-jargon talk explained in everyday analogies (ex. when you shop you browse at times, the computer needs a browser on to look around the internet)

    Business goals

-people purchase devices/ materials in ads to generate revenue for site

-offer sign ups for web cam seminars to generate revenue

So to recap.. Its an online community that has the main goal in teaching beginners how to use the web / and computer.

The User Goals would be :

    - Feel the site speaks their language

    - Find tutorials according to their needs / issues (What is a browser, what is browsing, how can i forward an email, how to create a Facebook account, how to change my settings on Facebook)

    - Have their questions answered anytime they find themselves not knowing what to do online

    The Brand Goals would be:

     - Become the hub of online learning for beginners

    - Create trust with people and make them feel comfortable

    - Inform the users at all time

    The Business Goals would be:

    - Ads network

    - Web seminars one time payment to generate revenue

    - Become the #1 go to site for beginners questions

    - Leverage the traffic
