Part II Case Study 5 Readings
Case Study 5 Readings
Key words: licence strategy, licence compatibility, dual licensing, cross border issues
Overview: This week we continue to consider the application of licences to copyright material. However, in contrast to last week's class looking at using material under licences, this week we look at licensing from the point of view of the copyright creator. How do you make licensing decisions about your material, and how do you execute them once you have made them? We encourage you to think about the licences you apply to material and the ways in which they may enable or limit yours and others use in future. We also briefly consider the practicalities of trying to share your material with others in the borderless internet environment.
