I have built websites in the past and I would really like to hone my skills and while I've got a pretty goos knowledge of HTML I know little CSS.
I would like to learn the fundamentals of CSS and to build a solid foundation to move on from.
Maybe I'm not really sure what all that would entail but I've got lots of free time
Enough to copy and paste and be able to feign being able to trouble shoot it.
I'm not sure. I don't know that's a good question for someone with as little background in the subect as I have.
It's fundamental to learning web design and while templates are easy and cheap they cant compare to the real thing.

I have designed web pages using FrontPage and Dreamweaver but have yet to do much with CSS and HTML5. I would like to learn responsive web design through CSS3 and HTML5.

1. I really have very little CSS background or experience. I have worked with CSS a little but don't really understand it very well.
2. I'm hoping to find a course that is interactive rather than something where you just read a text or watch videos.

I have made adhider(AVX-adhider) through CSS which can hide ads from the website. This adhider is browser independent .So, i am mainly from CSS background have 2 year of experience.
I would like to see innovative and new level of design to give new direction in web-designing.
The main function of CSS is to separate design from content. The basic idea is that HTML is used to define the content and that CSS is used to design the content. The content of the webpage can for example be a story. This story is written in plain text. The way this story is displayed, in which font, in which colors, in which area on the page, with lines around it, with empty space around it, all these kind of things can be designed with CSS. You can even create different designs for the same text. For example one design to view the text on a screen and another design for when the page is printed out. The story, the words, the plain text, is always the same. This is the 'content', which is included in the HTML file. The way it looks is the design, which can be created with CSS, but doesn't have to be created with CSS.

I work for a small ad agency, as a marketing brand manager. I spend a lot of time as the go between with clients and programmers. I'm trying to learn more of the programming end so I can, one make small fixes and, two be a better go between.
I would be interested in helping with the study group organization once I get used to the whole p2pu universe.
I'm familiar with a lot of the concepts and can hack my way through obvious fixes on a site. I'd like to learn how to go from a design to a full site.
I'm here to get a better understanding to help clients with small fixes, and take a load off of programmers when we get heavy volumes of client requests.

Currently, I would say my knowledge of CSS is fairly good, although that isn't taking into account CSS3. I'm hoping that this course will cover some of the basics of the new CSS styles so that I can start building my skills in that area to increase both my productivity and desirability as a job candidate.

Being that I am a Marketing major, I believe knowledge of web design is a perfect match for my degree. I am also very creative and would like to test this trait in a plethora of fields. By participating in this course I hope to acquire skills and tips that will build an impregnable foundation as a beginner in this field. I do not have any background/experience in CSS. Regarding CSS I would like for all of the basics to be explained thoroughly so that I can smoothly transition to more difficult information. I've always been really interested in coding and programming, but never had the time to really dive into it like I had hoped. Recent events has brought that upon me, and I will not let this opportunity slip.
I hope to have a better understanding of CSS and HTML on a large scale. I hope that within 4 weeks I will be able to realistically feel comfortable doing front end development.
I will do what I can, but am not sure of how much help I will be.
1. I've been actively studying CSS and HTML for 2 weeks now. I've done very simple style sheets and web pages.
2. Not really sure. I suppose anything that will help advance my knowledge to the point of monetization.
3. My wife does web design and it seems like a lot of fun. I used to do web coding when there was just HTML, so the addition of CSS to the picture is even more exciting.
