I have 10 years of experience in website design and email marketing. I work for an email marketing company as installation manager. Basically I install our software, train customers how to use our system, create customized reports using mysql, create emails, and a liaison between Clients and Development. I've been doing the same thing for a long time so when I stumbled on the Mozilla badges I thought it a great way to keep myself from getting stale and improve my resume.

I have heard of CSS for quite some time now, always thought it was some sort of side-language. But after not being able to understand what a small css code actually does, I feel like learning it from scratch.

- I learned HTML and CSS in college and through advancement at work. Currently use it to build and style new websites using open-source CMS.
- A thoughtful approach to how CSS should be applied from a high-level down to the element level as well as best practices.
- With CSS its never as straight-forward as it appears, so learning how to design and construct solid website styling will help avoid hours of troubleshooting issues.

I hope to become confident that I can program websites (and hopefully mobile apps too) using CSS.I would need more detail about study group organization to be of any help.
My current background is that I have worked with style sheets in print applications such as InDesign and the older version of Pagemaker. I have tried to teach myself CSS on the W3Schools website and found it kind of frustrating. I like the fact that there are peers and mentors here to help.
I don't really know how to answer that question; I need more experience with CSS.
I want to learn it so that I can design excellent websites.
