Standard Set Answer:I'm interested in this topic because our state is moving toward something called RISE for teacher effectiveness. Since documenting everything is the newest trend with teaching, I thought a portfolio might be something to look at to keep all my ducks in a row.
I hope to get ideas on portfolios (whether for me or my students). I want to become a better documentor, and I hope this course will introduce me to some different ways of doing that.
I am not really interested in helping with the organization. This is my first time ever participating in anything like this, so I would just like to participate for now.

Standard Set Answer:I am interested in the potential of ePortfolios for teachers because I use them with my students and curate a range of web resources myself. I believe that curating online content is one of the key digital literacies.
I hope to learn how others are curating their own content and maintaining their learning online through contacts with other professional learners.
I am open to the idea of helping with the study group organisation.

We run a Virtual Worlds programme for Game-based Learning in Irish schools. We were supported by the Department of Education in 2011, through the National Centre for Technology in Education, to run a pilot project in 20 primary schools across the country. Feedback from students, teachers and professionals has been terrific and now we're in planning stages to extend the programme for next term.
Location: Ireland
Standard Set Answer:We are working on a digital platform that can support ePortfolios. Using the (un-official) opensource version of Second Life, called Opensimulator, we have a 20 school programme running in Ireland where we host virtual worlds for game-based learning. We are interested in using the Hypergrid feature of Opensim to connec with schools outside of Ireland.

I'm an Earth Science / Environmental Science teacher (5-9 / 7-12 Certified NYS) and I've been on ISTE Island and in SL for five years.. I "Cut my teeth' on VR with SL during my insightful Mentor's insistance from SUNY during my M.A.T. Graduate Degree studies for New Teacher preperation and certification. I'm so glad I'm a PIONEER! I remain humbly TEACHABLE therefore... at varying levels... There's RISK and perceived levels of FEAR at every turn in becoming Technologically 'savvy'... The key to 'success' thus far for me has been in who I surround myself within virtual and augemented reality... Teaching and Learning.. will NEVER be the same...
Thank GOD I run with COOL AVATAR'S!!!

Standard Set Answer:I'm a BIG P2PU fan. I've been involved with VWBPE 2012 Post MOOC and now ARG Academy MOOC. I have researched your P2PU "model" and I like what I see. So.. Why am I here? I'm here to take some more... ;) I can give back much (I believe..) but I am here to learn...MORE.
can't wait to align with you and to learn from you.
Best regards
