I expect that by the end of the course I'll have a better understanding of HTML5 and it's possibilities, and be able to move on to other related subjects, like CSS and Javascript. I've actually tried to learn JS in another P2PU course, but I found it a little too challenging.

Standard Set Answer:
I am a .NET web developer and have recently moved to the ASP.NET MVC2 framework. As this framework works more intimately with HTML compared to Web Forms, I am interested in this course to gain a firm footing in HTML5.
I would like to have a better understanding of the front end (HTML5) so as to produce better looking interfaces. MVC allows me for the very first time to dabble in the endless possibilities of HTML5.
Yes, I would be interested in helping with the study group organization.

Hi everyone,
I took my first HTML intro class just this past semester at a local college and enjoyed it. I'm trying to figure out what I like more -- the actual coding or the design/UI element. I thought this class would be a great opportunity to continue to work on the basics during the summer in the hopes of taking something more intermediate in the fall. This is my first time on P2PU and want to try P2PU out before I committing to study group organization, but would be willing to do so in the future if all works out. Looking fwd to learning and working with everyone!

Hi,
I am a 19 year old Swede/Mozambican that is looking for a study group that I can dedicate a long burning ambition to learn programming. I think it could be fun and giving. Recently I went on a day course on online marketing which further extended my interest in IT. Hopefully, not only will I learn a few things, but I will also(with modest exeptations) be able to contribute with ideas and/or potential problems.
Location: Stockholm
Standard Set Answer:
I am very interested in programming in general. I have a few ideas which I can only reach by having the necessary knowledge in programming. I understand that HTML5 is revolution within programming language which will aleviate tasks. Also, i am going to enroll in a Business and IT program in Stockholms University so I figure that it would be a good "warmup" exercise.
I hope to learn HTML5 and the basics of programming.
Naturally if by assisting in the study group organization I will learn more then I am willing to aid within the study group.
Cheers

Today's life is very much centered on the knowledge of IT, and I would appreciate the fondness of having a good base knowledge in that area of science. I hope to learn basics as well as some concepts that will prepare me for futher IT study and individual projects.
As this is my first time trying this out, I am unsure of what the study group organization does, but if it will help me in any way I see of no reason why I shouldn't.

London based. Teaching myself Linux Administation off the back of a co-operative printing project (www.threadme.co.uk), wanting to bring more of our services in house. This splintered off into a multi-vendor project (www.threadmarket.co.uk). The co-operatives I am a member of are members of the secondary co-op Radical Routes (www.radicalroutes.org). I did handle the IT infrastructure at Footprinnt, too (www.footprinters.co.uk)
I'm a bike mechanic at an anarchist bike space in London (www.56a.org.uk/bikeworkshop.html). I am interested in spaces like these which are held in common, where environments of mutual learning are fostered. Spaces where the lines between learner/teacher, mechanic/customer, friend/stranger are blurred.
I'm currently attending two night courses; one in Networking and Linux Administration and another in SQL and Database design.
I'm also interested to hear how people self-organise their time outside of institutions. How to set goals and feel successful with your acheivments. There seems to be a tyranny to structure-less-ness which easily slips into longer working hours with less and less contentedness with what does get done... That said I'm not sure I'd have it any other way. I love learning.

Standard Set Answer:
I'd like to get to grips with HTML5 and this also seems like a lively group, so I'd like to be a part of it.
I am interested in the organization as I'd like to spread these experiences across to the Linux group that I am part of.
