I see P2PU as a place to meet other poeple that share this same dream with me, which is the dream of giving back to our communities. it's a place of learning new ideas and meeting poeple of the same like mind.

we hope to setup a new library and a small IT center in our school and schools around us. our schools our sited in the rural areas of Nigeria, with no means of accessing information. this is affecting the level of Education acquired here. We hope to change that for the next generation.

Our previous involvement with Casa Hogar Alegria has made us aware of the needs of young individuals who lack of resources.
We are a group of teenagers that have formed a committee of young individuals that are currently interested in helping and providing for a foster home called "Casa Hogar Alegria" in Toluca, Mexico (http://www.casahogaralegria.org/ ). The home focuses its efforts in helping abandonded and homeless young girls. The objective of this association is to educate and raise girls that have suffered abuse and abandonment. "Raise a boy and you will be raising a man, raise a girl and you will be raising a family." The purpose of the home is to provide daily education regarding values such as independence, responsibilty, respect, happiness and confidence in order to help the girls integrate into society as well-rounded human beings.
Our latest project is focused on gathering money in order to help build a second home. The first home can only hold up to 50 girls and we are seeking to increase that number in order to help as many girls as possible. 50 girls is nothing compared to the millions of Mexican girls that suffer abuse and abandonment every single day.

Hi, My name is Pablo Madero, and along with my partenr Daniel Degenaro we are planning on donating school utencils to a public school in need here in Mexico, our school (ASF) has already had connections and has already aided this school, but with a minor impact upon that school, we have seen that this school doesnt have the utencils it needs in ordrer for the kids to learn, utencils like pens, pencils, notebooks, blackboards and chalks. As our school has tired implementing technology into this other public school, we believe that the basics are much more important in order for the kids to learn, instead of having the luxuries they can´t afford or use since they dont have any experience. We hope that this is is a good idea and await your answers.

Our project idea is to set up our school's annual music festival, like a battle of the bands. Just one night where bands need to pay to participate to win a prize that is yet to be determined. We want to educate people in Mexico.
Hey
My name is Patricio and along with my partner Andrea and our entire debate team we want to bring debate to people beyond our community and into public schools. In Mexico we have a very serious problem with education and young people now more than ever have less incentives to continue to study. We want to change this we want to encourage young people to think and to love learning and develop a passion for it.
We plan to do this by holding a couple of seminars about debating with the public school that is located at the intersection of periferico and constituyentes. We will use the ASF debating team and the ASF facilities in order to facilitate the learning process. Our ASF debating team consists of around 30 people. We plan to have 2 people per seminar, and around 20-30 people per seminar, So we could successfully educate 600 people on debating, researching, and the valuable art of developing arguments and standing for what one believes in.
However, we do require some amount of money in order to pull this together. As we will most likely hold various long meetings on different occasions we will need to feed these people throughout these days. Additionally, since the people that we are targetting are not likely to follow through with our efforts, as mentioned before, the public school systems in Mexico are responsible for dicentivizing the Mexican youth to continue studying, we plan to hold a tournament for these people and the winners will win a cash prize or a $300 dollar dell computer. However, we lack the funds to hold this tournament as we will need $900 to buy the computers and enough money to provide food to hold around 3 all day seminars and a 2 day tournament. -

Hi, I am Cesar, and my team (Luis Bosoms, and Christian Aguilar) and I would like to propose an idea for a grant. Ever since the Knoy 2012 campaign started, a group of friends and I started plannning the official movement in Mexico City, we didn't realize that it would take a lot of work and effort from our part. We knew that the posters mailed from the U.S. would be a bad idea, since 1) they would most probably arrive late, and 2) they were IN ENGLISH. So we have now decided to create and print our own posters, and that is whaat the grant is for, to create the whole campaign from sctratch here in Mexico.
