7. Managing Collected Data
The full potential of wireless sensor networks is exposed when they are connected to the Internet. Other concepts such as Open Data, Smart Cities and the Internet of Things come into play. The data is managed by data brokers platforms.
These platforms distribute the data and may also store it to make it possible to consult it at a later time.
Examples of data broker platforms include xively.com (which we are going to use in the lab), ckan, opencities.upf.edu, and sentilo.io .
