I feel ok about my CSS skills, but don't feel great about what I know about CSS3
-
I'd like to review what others consider the "basics" of CSS, then if possible, see a comparison of what CSS tags were typically used in the past, and what CSS tags are suggested we use today instead (CSS has been evolving, but web browsers and users, have been slower to adapt)
-
I still want to teach HTML5/CSS in the future (I'm taking a break soon), and want to improve as well as just keep my skills up

What made you interested in this topic?
I am interested in CSS because in the past, I've had to dabble in it to tweak my websites, but I never really knew what i was doing. I want to master the code so I don't waste a ton of time when I need to tidy up my websites.
-
What do you hope to achieve by participating?
I hope to learn CSS inside and out.
-
Are you interested in helping with the study group organization?
At this time, I am unable to make that kind of time committment. Should things change, I would definitely consider it!
Public Set Answer:
What is you current CSS background/experience?
I don't have a lot of CSS experience. I have used a lot of Wordpress templates to create my websites (ones others have built) and have edited it (sometimes with disastrous results) to make changes. It seems intuitive, but I want a much better grasp on it.
What would you like to see offered from this course regarding CSS?
I am hoping there are lots of exercises to practice the various tags so I can get a lot of experience hands-on.
Why do you want to learn CSS?
I am interested in being self-taught at web coding, be it HTML, CSS or PHP. I want to build my own templates, for my own sites, and eventually, perhaps for others. I don't want to have to use templates made by others when I can make my own to exactly suit my needs. I'd like to build a web portfolio over time in the hopes that I can work in this industry either for an employer or as a self-employed individual.

I'm interested in learning web design because I'm looking for a career and other web designers have told me I'd be good at it. I have an artistic bent and think I could make lovely web pages.
I want a basic knowledge of CSS, enough that I can start "playing around" with it. Right now I just know HTML...
I may or may not help with the study group organization. I USUALLY learn best on my own, but I've never taken an online programming course before, so we'll see <3
Public Set Answer:
1. Nada. Zip. Nothing. Sometimes, I take a gander at the souce code of my favorite websites and remark, "Huh?"
2. To at least give me some idea of what's going on in that source code!
3. To see if it's something I enjoy, in which case I'll pursue further study/possibly a career.
