Anyone can follow a course on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants.   I am an Electrical Engineer, but in retraining mode. I currently contract at Microscan as a manufacturing engineer, and have written web pages in the past. My current goals are to become proficient in HTML5 & JavaScript, and then learn Python.

  I became interested in HTML 5 when my current position involves testing a HTML 5 framework. I am hoping to achieve competency in web design in addition to improving my electrical engineering knowledge. Sort of a dual major I suppose.

  I hope to become more employable, as I was unemployed for quite a while before landing my current position in QA.

  I am a scholar of about anything I can get my hands on, reading all of the time. I find time constraints all around me so I started developing my skills as a programmer that I might help myself streamline things I like to do. I am interested in numbers, ideas, and how they all relate. I am a humble scholar of life.

  I feel pretty confortable with HTML in general, but I'm in the US Army and so my time to go toying around is very limited. I wanted to get enrolled in some kind of structured movement to secure my HTML5 skillset before this gets too off the ground.

  I hope to gain a command of how html5 differers from previous version, practical knowledge to use these concepts and apply them to my projects, and seeing how these elements play in this new concept of a web post flash.

  Because it's awesome - reason is that i've been chasing HTML for the past few months, but have been slacking. However, with the emergence of HTML5, there's a lot of buzz about it's capabilities, and i have just graduated from my course, decided to fully involve myself in HTML5, which i've procastinated for months. 

  Once i've learned it, i want to create an interactive website, games, and also develop awesome web apps, which can be used by various peoples for greater goods. 

  If i've learned and understood everything, i'll definitely spend my time guiding users if possible.
