Anyone can follow a course on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants.   As I mentioned above, I'm interested in taking my natural talents for design into the rich world of Web / Mobile.  My main objective is to create marketable skill sets. I have been hesitant to get into the technical side of the net.  I remained comfortable using graphic design and other programs to aid in easy web authoring.  I am slowly realizing that the mastering of these basic langauges is a neccessity.

  In participating I hope to quickly learn all the neccessary tools to creating web pages, applications, web pages ready for mobile browsers, and hopefully create iOs apps packaged by PhoneGap and other Mobile APIs (based mainly on HTML 5, CSS, Jquery, JS, etc.  

  I like learning and broadening my understanding of the course material, and I know my participation will greatly aid in my learning as well as the other followers' learning.

  I used to create web pages with HTML 3 and 4, but haven't done it for quite a while, so I want to know and learn the new standard

  Form my POV. HTML5 is the final blow to stuff like Flash or Silverlight, I'm interested mainly in using HTML5 to create mobile web services.

  I'm an IT student, at Dr. José Matías Delgado University. I think, it is not a bad idea to learn new things if we have the time. "The web is knowledge" is something I always have on mind.

  I would be glad to share my knowledge with others, I already know Visual Basic, a little bit of Java, MySQL and related databases management solutions. I also know a bit how to use software like Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Audition, Anime Studio Pro...

  I'm interested on this topic because everyone is talking about HTML5 and all you can do with it, and I don't know almost nothing about it, so I think this could be a good start.
