Anyone can follow a course on P2PU. Participating is the next level of engagement. The sign-up is a space where interested individuals can express their interest and background in the topic and commit to working with the rest of the participants. Please answer the following set(s) of questions if you want to become a participant or organizer.

  I have always been interested in web development.  I am currently studying computer science and am always looking for new knowledge as well as making sure I stay up to date with current technologies.

  What made you interested in this topic?

  I am a begginer at web development.  I have expert level photoshop, illustrator and indesign skills but only begginer html and css skills.  I am currently reading several resources on learngin HTML, HTML 5, CSS and CSS3.  A friend turned me onto P2PU and I am interested in diving in and commiting to the course.

  What do you hope to achieve by participating?

  I hope to further develop both my theoretical and practical understanding of HTML to develope websites. 

  Are you interested in helping with the study group organization?

  I don't think I want to take on organizational responcibilities at this point.  This will be my first P2PU course.  So I would like to put my full attention to experiencing the process as a participant.

  Been programming with PHP, HTML & CSS for about 5 years. Totally self taught. Wanting to perfect my skills and get a chance to pick up some new techniques and ideas.

  I want to keep up to date with new emerging web technology, so I'm not just left behind, but a leader as a website designer and coder.

  I hope to become proficient in HTML 5, and learn many of the new techniques used. Plus pick up older techniques that I missed the first time around!

  I am very interested in working in a study group, I currently study full time at University (Batchellor of IT), and work as a PHP coder. So these tasks need to compete for my time, but any lessons I learn here will directly benefit what I currently do!

  My main reason for participating is that I've undertaken work on a website and have very little knowledge of html.  Website design is new to me and it seems both challenging and enjoyable.

  I've already picked up valuable information by looking at the first couple of tasks and hope to be able to build a decent-looking website by the end of the course.  This format seems like a great way to learn and I'm looking forward to working with the group.

  I have a basic understanding of HTML, and I wanted to learn how to use some of the features available with HTML5.

  With this course, I hope to gain a bette understanding of HTML and some of the newer features in HTML5 (like the video element or the sound element).

  As long as I understand the topic, I have no qualms in helping with the study group organization. Otherwise, if I do not understand the topic I would not want to help (for example, making a highly complex web page without a WYSIWYG editor) in order to prevent confusion.
